Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using HireMatch ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of service

HireMatch is an evidence-backed candidate matching platform. We provide deterministic, auditable scoring across multiple dimensions to help hiring teams identify high-signal candidates. All scores are decision support — they never replace human judgment.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• One person or legal entity per account. Shared accounts are not permitted.

4. Candidate accounts

• All profile information you provide is voluntary.
• You control your discovery visibility — you can opt in or out at any time.
• Your profile is only visible to hiring teams for roles you match with, and only when you have opted in to discovery.
• Your profile photo is stored privately and is never used in scoring or matching.

5. Hiring accounts

• You are responsible for the accuracy of role descriptions and team information.
• Match results are decision support only — you must apply your own judgment before making hiring decisions.
• You agree not to use HireMatch scores as the sole basis for any employment decision.
• Integration data from connected tools (GitHub, Slack, etc.) is used only for aggregate performance insights and is never shared with candidates.

6. Fair use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to extract, scrape, or reverse-engineer our scoring algorithms.
• Use the Service to discriminate based on protected characteristics.
• Submit false or misleading profile or role information.
• Attempt to manipulate match scores or inject content into AI analysis.
• Share account credentials or access with unauthorized parties.
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose.

7. Intellectual property

The HireMatch scoring algorithm, software, and design are our intellectual property. Your data remains yours — we claim no ownership over content you submit. You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service.

8. Limitation of liability

HireMatch is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that match results will lead to successful hires. Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@hire-match.app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Berlin, Germany.
